In the throes of my battle with MS, I, like hundreds of thousands before me, made a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France to beg for a miracle. While I was there, I saw a young boy in a wheelchair severely disabled. He used his mouth to operate a contraption to move the chair. He accepted no help, and he was angry.

When I saw him, I asked God to help him and not me, for he was clearly more in need. But when I came home, I was healed.

Suffering takes on many forms. It could be a debilitating illness, or it could be emotional, financial or even spiritual bankruptcy. It could be an unexpected accident or the loss of a loved one. There are so many people truly in need of a miracle, so I believe we should give them those miracles.
